Our Foundation in Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the foundation of our faith, the guide for our lives, and the final authority for what we believe and how we live. Every message, ministry, and decision is rooted in Scripture, as we faithfully teach God's Word and point people to Jesus Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit uses God's Word to transform lives, strengthen believers, and advance His Kingdom.
Beliefs
We are in the city, for the city, to make HIM famous.
We believe the gospel transforms lives through the grace of Jesus Christ. We proclaim God's truth with love and believe following Jesus should be marked by joy, authentic relationships, and a life of
purpose.
Our Foundation
We are passionate about helping people know Jesus and grow in their faith. While our methods are creative and relevant, our theology is firmly rooted in the historic Christian faith. We affirm the
Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our guiding doctrinal statement.
"In essentials, unity. In nonessentials, liberty. In all things, love."
Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the foundation of our faith, the guide for our lives, and the final authority for what we believe and how we live.
God
We believe there is one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three Persons are equal in nature, power, glory, and worthy of all worship.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully human while remaining fully God. Through His perfect life, sacrificial death, and bodily resurrection, He alone provides forgiveness of sin and eternal life for all who place their faith in Him.
Humanity
We believe every person is created in the image of God and has immeasurable worth. Because of sin, all people are separated from God and are unable to restore that relationship through their own efforts.
Salvation
We believe salvation is God's gift of grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through His death and resurrection, believers are forgiven, made new, adopted into God's family, and eternally secure in Christ. Genuine faith produces a transformed life that increasingly reflects the character of Jesus.
The Christian Life
We believe every follower of Jesus is called to grow in Christ through prayer, worship, fasting, Scripture, fellowship, and obedience to the Holy Spirit. As we mature in our faith, we are transformed into the likeness of Christ and equipped to serve others.
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers, and expressed through local congregations. We exist to worship God, build one another up in faith, and fulfill the Great Commission by engaging people far from God, equipping believers for ministry, and empowering disciples to make disciples.
Baptism
We believe baptism by immersion is an act of obedience for every believer following salvation. Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and symbolizes His death, burial, and resurrection. While baptism does not save, it is the biblical next step for every Christian. In obedience to the Great Commission, we believe every follower of Jesus shares the responsibility to make disciples, teach them to obey Christ's commands, and baptize new believers in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Church Leadership
We believe God calls pastors and church leaders to shepherd, teach, and equip the church for ministry. Every believer has been gifted by God and is called to use those gifts to serve others, proclaim the gospel, and make disciples both locally and around the world.
